Job Details:

1. Develop and implement materials handling procedures, monitor the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, achieve volume, timeliness, reliability, and safety standards.
2. Oversee the maintenance of inventory control systems that track the status of purchase orders, inventory levels, and production requirements.
3. Interpret inventory requests, production schedules, orders, and other documents to co-ordinate materials handling activities with the organisation’s current and anticipated demand for goods and materials.
4. Liaise with functional or operational area managers (for example in sales, warehouse or production) to that the supply and movement of materials meets their current and future needs.
5. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the team so that the organization has access to the materials and inputs it needs to operate, and all materials and goods are handled, cost-effectively, and on-time.
6. Ensure the timely availability of the highest quality of materials, at the cost of effective price, which meets the quality and quantity standards of the department, using the best vendors operating in the market.
7. To liaise with MIDA, MITI & Custom for AP, Duty & Tax Exemption and others related to government documentation.
8. Any other tasks as assigned by the Company.
