SALES / CHANNEL MANAGER (Horeca & Corporate Accounts_Wines/Champagnes/Spirits)

Position: Sales / Channel Manager - Horeca & Corporate Accounts
 
Industry / Product: Wines / Champagnes / Liquor
 
Working Location: Kuala Lumpur
 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the management and development of the Horeca & Corporate Accounts channels and to optimize the company’s sales and profit growth from this channel.
  • Achieve branch sales and collection objectives with the objective of improving overall profitability.
  • Achieve objectives for distribution, price maintenance, merchandising and promotions.
  • Contribute to the formulation of Horeca & Corporate Accounts channel sales plan and targets.
  • Responsible for trade relationships, sales management and supervision on the sales team.
 
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Food & Beverage Services Management, Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, Commerce or equivalent.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, English
  • Minimum 8 years commercial experience in sales, with 3 years in a mid-management role; preferably, but not necessary in the alcoholic industry in Malaysia.
  • Preferably Managers specializing in Sales - Corporate / Retail / General or equivalent.
  • Possess formal training in wines, food and beverage will be an advantage.
 
Knowledge:-
  • A thorough understanding or the Malaysian liquor industry from both a customer and supplier perspective - must be customer focused and consumer savvy.
  • In-depth knowledge of liquor consumption trends, habits and preferences of young adult consumers.
  • A high level of commercial awareness and an instinct for exploiting profit opportunities.
  • Full working knowledge of the company’s corporate policies and procedures.
  • An appreciation of the critical necessity to act as a team, and the ability to motivate and obtain team consensus in achieving the agreed objectives.
  • An exemplary communicator, capable of presenting confidently, effectively and knowledgeably.
  • Full understanding of modern selling and training techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • A sound grasp of financial management.
